Crandel, Canyon, Mine

I’m sure most, if not all, have heard of yet another tragic collapse in the Crandall Canyon mine in Huntington Utah, so I won’t elaborate a great deal.
Not only were three rescuers killed, but six more sustained some type of injuries, and the original six are still trapped!!!!
As I watched this story unfold, I began to find myself asking some disturbing questions.
For example: Why did it take the deaths of three coal miners to finally suspend rescue efforts, when it was clearly spelled out time and time again that the operation was, and still is very dangerous?!!!!!
Also, Robert Murray, the president of this particular Mine, has been very forthcoming with most of the information and activity, but, he has in my opinion stated a blatant lie!!!
It has been reported several times that twelve, yes, twelve miners had asked to be reassigned due to there concerns for there’s and other’s safety, and yet, Robert Murray, still claims that the operation is safe, and not to give up hope?
Now what of the other’s families? What of there hopes that they might find there loved ones still alive?
What of there anguish, and unimaginable grief?
What of the families who have deceased loved ones?
While I do understand that the rescuers were simply doing there job, and they’d have gone in to the mine without direct orders from Robert Murray, this tragedy seems preventable, and senseless!!!!
This collapse did not have to occur at all!!!!
There had been many fines and citations, and yet, because the fines would cost the Murray Mine Company, a bit of money, miners were still permitted to risk there lives?
This tragedy just seems two fold to me, and leaves me shaking my head!!!!!!
It didn’t have to happen!!!!!

These are just my thoughts!!!!!

Well, we are able to capture realtime footage of Mars, but we can't drill eighteen-hundred feet to save our fellow humans. How's that for having your priorities straight? Say nothing of the fact that mining's a dangerous business, this has happened before and what's been done in the way of preventitives...etc.

I was upset when I heard that the govenor of Utah has called off the search. Bob Muray has continued to lie to the press and the public at large. This is a horrible tradegy. Why the families still cling to hope, so far no sign of life has been found.

It just brings home to me how dangerous this business is.

I have afriend who's completely obsessed with geology and mining and wants to go down holes for a living, but i'm desperately trying to convince him not to, because he's an awsumn musician and political genious...

but, be truthful, people, this is how the world gets most of it's resources like coal and metals. if we don't mine, most of the world will go without electricity.
for some countries also this sort of thing is a more regular occurance and often more dangerous. take china for example, their mines are the most dangerous in the world.

Unfortunately, mining is regeneration.
